About Us

Passionate about food - creatively, Nutritionally and Sustainably 

We absolutely love cooking and eating amazing food! If it happens to be nutritious too, then that’s just a bonus. This is exactly what we offer to our neighbours in Bingham - The Sustainable Kitchen was born out of passion and real life experience that offers a completely conscientious way of eating.

When you come to eat and/or drink at The Sustainable Kitchen,  you can rest assured that you have had absolutely no negative impact on our planet. We are completely carbon negative and are actively having a positive effect on the environment. This has been achieved by a multi-faceted approach, including the sole use of renewable energy, completely biodegradable packaging and will feature only plant based, sustainable and seasonal foods, to name but a few.

Our founder, head chef and registered nutritionist Rik, has over 20 years of experience managing high end restaurants and has a BSc (HONS) degree in Human Nutrition.


We also nutritionally analyse all dishes to provide our customers with full macro-nutrient information. As they say: you are what you eat and we simply want to make sure that the food is top notch and nutritious!

Rik's Story

Our founder has over 20 years experience as a professional chef in the food industry, including 15 years of opening and managing 2 of London’s top private member’s clubs.


Having a BSc (HONS) degree in Human Nutrition is a great benefit to his vast expertise in catering as a registered member of the Association for Nutrition.
